Making Spirits Bright

Start off the holiday season with a cocktail tasting. Party B Cause will be hosting the event that will include a DJ and over 20 distillers from Colorado. General admission includes tastings, a tasting glass and entrance to the after party.

Park Hill Pizza Pie Fun Run, 5K and 10K

Bring the family out or go solo for a run to the finish line at City Park in Park Hill this weekend. Launching the park’s winter running series, this event will feature three different runs: the 1 mile that starts at 8 a.m., the Little Pepperoni Youth Run at 8:40 a.m. and finally the 5K and 10K run at 9 a.m.

Medals and T-shirts will be given out to participants. There will also be plenty of offerings from Park Hill Pizza Pie to nibble on.

When: Saturday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Goat Yoga 

Change up the weekend routine with a Saturday session of yoga with baby goats. Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga and Release Studio have partnered up to offer goat yoga. Guests can bring their own alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the event.

Yoga mats will be available for rental for $5. Proceeds from the rentals will benefit a nonprofit organization for veterans. Tickets are going fast, but the noon time slot is still available.

VFW Post 1 WWI Commemoration Poppy Event

Honor and celebrate Veterans Day by visiting Denver Botanic Gardens to view the display of 100 glass poppies created by soldiers and veterans. The poppy flower is a symbol of remembrance for those who died in service during World War I.

The flowers were created by Hot Shop Heroes, a collaborative program between the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, and the Warrior Transition Unit at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the American Lake Veterans Administration. A glass poppy can be purchased through the Post 1 Foundation.

When: Sunday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-noon
