Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top Taiwanese eateries around Boston, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.

1. Myers & Chang

Topping the list is Myers & Chang, located at 1145 Washington St. (at Berkeley Street) in South End. Offering both Asian fusion and Taiwanese cuisine, it is the most popular Taiwanese restaurant in Boston, boasting four stars out of 1,483 reviews on Yelp.

The menu features gluten-free, nut-free, shellfish-free and vegetarian options. Look for braised pork belly buns, scallion pancakes and potsticker-style dumplings stuffed with curry sweet potato, shrimp or pork. 

Stop by every Monday and Tuesday from 5–10 p.m. for Cheap Date Night in which the restaurant offers three fixed menus for $45 each. It's enough food for two people. 

2. Dolphin Bay

Next up is Allston's Dolphin Bay, situated at 72 Brighton Ave., between Chester and Reedsdale streets. With 4.5 stars out of 409 reviews on Yelp, the Taiwanese eatery has proven to be a local favorite.

Menu items include a beef-stuffed scallion pancake, Taiwanese sausages and braised pig feet. Thirsty? Wash down your meal with bubble tea in flavors like strawberry, cantaloupe and honey green.

3. Tasty Pot

Allston's Tasty Pot, located at 194 Harvard Ave., between Commonwealth Avenue and Glenville Terrace, is another top choice. Yelpers give the Taiwanese spot, which offers boiling hot pot soups, four stars out of 78 reviews.

When visiting the hot pot spot, patrons must first choose their pot, a spice level and then a rice or vermicelli to go with their dish. There are a wide array of options on the menu, with 12 soups, Taiwanese appetizers, boba milk teas and a variety of desserts.

4. Cheers Cut

Cheers Cut in Allston is another go-to, with four stars out of 34 Yelp reviews. Located at 154 Harvard Ave., the eatery shares a space with bubble tea shop Gong Cha and specializes in fast-casual Taiwanese eats.

On the menu, you'll find deep-fried giant squid, fried chicken and "ninja" chicken nuggets. There are also a few grilled items, including beef and chicken. Items can be ordered a la carte or as a combo with vegetables and a side of  rice.
