Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best high-end seafood spots in Troy, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to fill the bill.
1. Ocean Prime

Topping the list is Ocean Prime. Located at 2915 Coolidge Highway, the steakhouse and New American spot, which offers seafood and more, is the highest rated upscale seafood restaurant in Troy, boasting four stars out of 369 reviews on Yelp.
Voted “Best in Troy” by the Troy Chamber of Commerce, Ocean Prime offers fine dining with the options for private seating and a bar lounge area to sip on cocktails. Whether it be Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner, the restaurant features multiple seafood dishes.
Start off your meal with a chilled crab meat cocktail or lobster bisque. Look for entrées like the crab cakes with Brussels sprouts, corn, tomatoes, fingerlings and mustard cream and pair it with jalapeño au gratin. Or go for the teriyaki salmon in soy butter sauce and served with shiitake sticky rice.
Yelper Rebecca A. rated the restaurant five stars and wrote, ”It’s some of the finest dining in the city. The food was fabulous! My husband and I had a wedge salad, crab cakes and twin lobster tails.”
2. The Capital Grille

Next up is The Capital Grille, situated at 2800 W. Big Beaver Road. With four stars out of 358 reviews on Yelp, the steakhouse chain, which offers seafood and more, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.
The Capital Grille serves dry-aged steaks, seafood, desserts, salads, specialty sides and has a varied wine list. Expect dishes like the roasted swordfish with lump crab gratin or the dry-aged New York strip au poivre served with a side of lobster macaroni and cheese. Pair the meal with any one of the 350 wines available.
“I came here for the first time with some co-workers to try out the restaurant week menu. For $40, I got a salad, an 8-ounce filet mignon with green beans and mashed potatoes, as sides and a mini cheesecake with fruit. Everything was executed perfectly,” said Cory C.
3. Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Eddie V's Prime Seafood, located at 2100 W. Big Beaver Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the fancy lounge and steakhouse chain, which offers seafood and more, four stars out of 209 reviews.
According to the website, the restaurant serves fish that is obtained fresh daily with swordfish from Block Island, scallops from George Banks and yellowfin tuna from the Caribbean. Guests can also enjoy live jazz in the V lounge. Eddie V’s serves dinner and has a happy hour menu that begins at 4 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
Grab a seat at the bar with a plate of blackened fish tacos served with house-made tortillas, micro greens and roasted corn pico and a cocktail like the Bulleit Sour, made with Bulleit Bourbon, honey, lemon and lime sour mix.
Other standout dishes include the Mediterranean branzino with artichokes, oven-dried tomato and olive tapenade or the bacon-wrapped filets served with Alaskan king crab, grilled asparagus and béarnaise.
