SMS Sacramento - Game Night!

First, Single Mom Strong, a California non-profit, is hosting Game Night on Thursday. Teams will be formed to play adult games with prizes awarded to the winners. Childcare is also available for the event.  

The mission of Single Mom Strong, according to its website, is "to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs."

Tenfold at Holy Diver

Tenfold is headlining a show on Friday with its Reunion Show at Holy Diver, which is a concert venue that hosts all genres of music. Tenfold's music has "loud guitars, angry drums and booming bass and gives voice to anger and frustration," says newsreview.com. 

Phallucy, featuring Abe Cunningham from the Deftones and The Snobs are the opening acts.

The Sactown Throwdown 2018 at Holy Diver

The Holy Diver is hosting a two-day music event, titled the Sactown Throwdown, this weekend. Performing bands include Dog Party, Sadgirl, Animals in the Attic, So Much Light, Honyock and much more.  

Expect to hear punk rock, chill, pop and psychedelic indie rock throughout the event.

When: Saturday, Dec. 22, and Sunday, Dec. 23, 7 p.m.

The Ugly Sweater Christmas Crawl

Lastly, the Ugly Sweater Christmas Crawl on Sunday in downtown Sacramento will relieve last-minute holiday stress as participants gain access to more than 20 venues along K Street to Old Sac. Each person receives a wristband and list of establishments included in the event that will offer special drinks and food prices. 

All proceeds from the crawl will benefit the Sacramento Self Help Housing, which assists people who are homeless or at risk to find affordable residence. 

When: Sunday, Dec. 23, 6 p.m.-midnight
