Shifting Gears — a public action workshop

This workshop series is focused on making Charlotte a better city for bicycling. Breakout sessions will focus on the city’s existing bicycle network and where bikers are riding today. Light appetizers will be available during the workshop, which is free and open to the public.

Tacky Improv Holiday Party 

This holiday event in NoDa will feature a tacky holiday sweater contest. Additional activities include a photo booth, arts shopping and interactive improv comedy with Improv Charlotte. The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Kids First of the Carolinas.

Afro Soca Love  

This Afro-Caribbean celebration of love is designed to promote unity while sharing the African and Caribbean cultures. The event will feature live performances by international DJs. Attendees must be 21 and older.

ToolBank Pinewood Derby Build Day

Volunteers will help attendees design and build a pinewood derby car. The $15 fee provides access to all the tools needed to build the car. The registration fee also includes weights for maximum speed. Car kits can be purchased for $4.
