MLK Jr. Birthday Celebration at Royale

DJ Richard Fraioli will spin Saturday night at the Royale nightclub in celebration of the legendary civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. Admission is free before 11 p.m.

Petit Ensemble Winter Concert at Boston University College of Fine Arts

Come Sunday morning, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra's Petit Ensemble performs its winter concert. The small orchestra of up to 40 members features string players ages seven to 10, according to the ensemble's website. The performance, free and open to the public, will be conducted by Marta Zurad.

When: Sunday, Jan. 20, 11-11:30 a.m.
Where: Boston University College of Fine Arts, Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Ave.

Silent Trap Party at Cure Lounge

 If you're looking for a twist on the traditional soiree, check out a silent trap party at the Cure Lounge Sunday night. Get down to hip-hop, Caribbean or trap music on wireless headphones. And if you don't like a song, simply switch your headphones to a different channel — or remove your headphones entirely to chat with other party-goers.
