In the mood for Latin music? This installment of the ongoing series will feature the Los Reyes Del Genero party. Attendees must be 18 or older. Music will be provided by DJ More9 and DJ Glyde.

Rumba Colombo-Venezolana will be the featured performer at this Mambo Fridays event. The Peculiar Rabbit, situated in NoDa, is hosting. There will also be a dance class offered.

Black Fathers Rock! awards

Black Fathers Rock will host its second annual awards ceremony at Pease Auditorium on the campus of Central Piedmont Community College. The 90-minute program will feature six honorees and two entertainment acts. Father of the Year and Dapper Dad of the Year will be among the awards handed out during the ceremony.
When: Saturday, Jan. 19, 6–7:30 p.m.

AfroPop! Charlotte, Vol. 28
This ongoing AfroPop series will celebrate MLK weekend. DJ Kato will provide the music, which will include AfroBeats, AfroHouse, Afro-Latin House music and more. Vendors will also be on-site, offering arts, crafts and other products from local artisans.
