Newseum: Photography & Photojournalism Exhibits
Next, the founder of local nonprofit Washington, D.C. History & Culture will lead interested visitors on an exploration of several photojournalism exhibits at the Newseum. These include a collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs, images from the archives of one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious photojournalism competitions, and examples of the work of a photographer with Stars and Stripes who spent three days with the Marines during the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam War. The group tour is free, but visitors will need to pay their own entry to the museum.

Beats and Brunch DC Rooftop Day Party

Polish Library Carnival Caroling Concert of Grazyna Auguscik
On a different note, you might like this concert of Christmas carols hosted by the Embassy of Poland. Jazz vocalist, arranger and recording artist Grazyna Auguscik (pronounced gra-jee-na au-goose-chick) will lead her quartet through Polish holiday favorites. Proceeds will support the nonprofit Polish Library in Washington, D.C., as it recovers from damage caused by Hurricane Florence.

No More Stop-and-Frisk: Panel & Workshop Campaign Launch
Finally, the Anacostia Arts Center will host the launch of a campaign to end the police practice of stop-and-frisk. Stop Police Terror Project D.C. is behind the event, where participants will discuss the impact of the tactic on D.C.’s black communities and help develop an approach to ending abuses.
