1. Big Jim's Restaurant & Bar

Topping the list is traditional American and Italian spot Big Jim's Restaurant & Bar. Located at 201 Saline St., it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting four stars out of 189 reviews on Yelp.
This spot has been serving Greenfield since 1977 and was recently featured on the Food Network. It is known for its huge specialty sandwiches like the meatball or hot sausage hoagie. The spot also serves large portions of pasta dinners, pizza, calzones and salad. (See the full menu here.)

2. Hough's

Next up is sports bar and New American spot Hough's, situated at 563 Greenfield Ave. With four stars out of 182 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite.
This family-owned business has been open for more than 10 years. It offers wings, sandwiches and the Pittsburgh salad, which is topped with French fries. The star of the menu may be the pierogies, which are made in house daily and come in 10 varieties. Ask about the Mug Club, a yearly membership program with special deals throughout the year. 3. Staghorn Garden Cafe

Bakery Staghorn Garden Cafe, which offers coffee and tea and home decor, is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 517 Greenfield Ave., 4.5 stars out of 56 reviews.
Come here for a light bite, and stay for the garden gazing and shopping. This spot has a small menu with options like bagels, scones, grilled cheese and quiche. There are lots of hot and cold beverage choices too. (The full menu is here.)
"A lovely coffee shop with delicious food and Zeke's coffee," wrote Yelper Corolyn B. "There is a short food menu, but everything uses fresh ingredients and are made on the premises from scratch."
4. J Gough's Tavern

Finally, check out J Gough's Tavern, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 23 reviews on Yelp. You can find the pub at 4213 Murray Ave.
This Greenfield watering hole is known for its large selection of American and international whiskies. Bring a group of four to eight to reserve your own whiskey tasting. "If you look up 'cozy' in the dictionary, I'm pretty sure there would be a picture of the inside of J.Gough's," wrote Yelper Tricia B. "... This little neighborhood watering hole is pretty small, but it feels very warm and welcoming, and it's not at all divey ... I've tried the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and the barbecue chicken flatbread, which are both solid."
