The French Embassy's in-house restaurant, Le Petit Bouchon, is offering a six-course dinner with wine pairing to celebrate Valentine's Day. Salmon terrine with cream cheese and tobiko dressing and fillet of beef tenderloin are among the dishes being offered.

Romantic Love Stories Art Tour at the Smithsonian Valentine's Night
A local non-profit, Washington D.C. History and Culture, is the organizer of this free exploration of the Smithsonian's American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery. Tour works of art that tell stories of romantic love. Martha and George Washington, Marilyn Monroe and Harriet Tubman will be among the subjects.

Valentines Mixer at the Heurich House
You are invited to this free Valentine's Day mixer for singles at Heurich House Museum in Dupont Circle. You'll learn about the ways suitors of both sexes expressed their interest in each other back in the day, from "fan signaling" to calling cards. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

El Concierto del Amor, with Lalo Rodriguez, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, David Pabon
Next, it's Valentine's Day Latin-style with three big acts performing at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Woodley Park. There's two-time Grammy winning salsa and Latin jazz band, Spanish Harlem Orchestra with salsa bandleader, David Pabon and Puerto Rica-born salsa singer, Lalo Rodriguez.

Afro Soca Love: DC
Finally, there's this "Afro-Caribbean rave" set to take place Saturday at Karma DC. The touring party features international DJs spinning Afro-beat and soca favorites, all with a message of love.
