The Pittsburgh Pancakes & Booze Art Show

Come hungry on Saturday night to the "Pancakes & Booze" pop-up art show.  There will be an all-you-can-eat flapjack station, along with more than 300 pieces of art on display, all created by local artists.

Art And...Ballet, with Karina Smigla-Bobinski

Come to the Mattress Factory Thursday for an opportunity to hear from artist in residence Karina Smigla-Bobinski as you see her installation, "ADA." Also, the students from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School will perform vignettes around the piece, creating a unique union of visual and performing arts.

Make-It-A-Date at Pittsburgh Glass Center

Grab a date for this glassmaking class, where each couple will create sculpted glass flowers. While you work, flame-working and glassblowing demonstrations will take place throughout the night and you'll be able to nosh on appetizers and have a glass of wine or beer too.

Glory Denied

Head to the Pittsburgh Opera on Saturday for the opening-night performance of "Glory Denied."  The opera tells the true story of Colonel Jim Thompson, who endured nine years of captivity in Vietnam as America's longest-held POW.
