Aizuri Quartet

Head to Brooklyn on Tuesday for a concert by Aizuri Quartet. The group of four women, which won the grand prize at the 2018 M Prize Chamber Arts Competition, will perform music by Caroline Shaw, Katie Balch, Hildegard von Bingen and more women composers.

Artist and the Archive: 'The Art of the Slave Ship Icon'
Come Thursday, Dr. Cheryl Finley discusses her latest book, "Committed to Memory: The Art of the Slave Slip Icon," at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. In the book, Dr. Finley reveals how the radical history of the slave ship was discovered in the 20th century by black artists, writers, activists, filmmakers and curators

Murder Mystery at the museum

And last but not least, head to Mount Vernon Hotel Museum for a murder mystery game. The hotel, which used to be a day hotel in the Upper East Side, will become the location for a fictional murder based on an actual historical killing. Search for clues throughout the museum in an attempt to solve the crime.
