
Cambridge-based global health research company TriNetX has secured $40 million in Series D funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced March 13.

The six-year-old company also raised a $2.5 million convertible note round in 2016.
The round brings total funding raised by Cambridge companies in data and analytics over the past month to $143 million. The local data and analytics industry has produced 41 funding rounds over the past year, yielding a total of $1.6 billion in venture funding.
In other local funding news, scientific data management company Ovation announced a $5 million funding round on March 14, led by Madrona Venture Group.
