The cheapest flights between San Diego and Vancouver are if you leave on Sept. 3 and return from Canada on Sept. 7. Delta currently has tickets for $231, roundtrip.

There are also deals to be had in August. If you fly out of San Diego on Aug. 3 and return from Vancouver on Aug. 5, Delta can get you there and back for $232 roundtrip.
