Design Thinking Professional Development Workshop

Design an Infinite Park with Cooper Hewitt

This is a hands-on craft using paper, glue and other materials, including your imagination.

Say Cheese Fest Detroit

Sponsored by Belle Isle Boat House and Food News Today, cheese fans are the intended audience for this inaugural event. Foods that highlight the best in cheeses from around the area, including grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese and cheese pizza, will be served to sample. A variety of regular hard and soft cheeses will also be featured. Admission includes samples and drink tickets. A cash bar will be available.

Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade

This 18th annual event celebrates Greek-American culture not only in Michigan but neighboring Ohio and Canada as well. Meant for all ages, you will witness handmade floats by local schools, Greek musicians, dancers and characters from The Parade Company's Big Head Corporation. The parade is part of the entire Greek Independence Day weekend and all proceeds benefit the Hellenic Museum of Michigan.
