Neighborhood fixture Willa's Coffee Hut has closed its doors after two years in operation on South Arroyo Parkway.
The drive-thru and walk-up coffee shop took over from Gotta Java in the spring of 2017, becoming a go-to spot for creative beverages like handmade peach soda, herbal dandelion lattes, and Willas' signature baklava latte, alongside baked goods like muffins, matcha scones, and fresh-baked strawberry "pop-tarts."
In January, the business posted on Instagram that, "As much as we’ve loved serving up this community over the last couple of years, we are going in another direction and are looking to sell the shop." It celebrated its last day in business on April 30.

The hut won't stay under-caffeinated for long. According an Instagram post from Willa's Coffee, Jones Roasters will take over operation of the location at 680 S. Arroyo Pkwy (between Pico & Fillmore).
The change of ownership will continue the site's two-decade history of serving coffee in one form or another.
