Gas prices in Five Points generally match those in the city’s other neighborhoods, while Denver’s average price at the pump remains below the nation’s as a whole.

On May 13, the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded in Denver was $2.77, according to the price-tracking app GasBuddy. That compares favorably with the U.S. average price of $2.86, but represents a 13% jump since April 3, when drivers in Denver paid an average of $2.52 per gallon. It’s also higher than this date a year ago, when the average price at the pump in Denver was $2.73, while the national average was $2.92.

In Five Points, the most current GasBuddy numbers show an average price of $2.77 per gallon as well.

But if you drive around, you can beat the average.

The lowest price in and around the neighborhood is $2.69, available at the Conoco at 3550 Downing St.
