Ramen fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Located at 642 N. Broadway, Suite 5, Chinatown Center Mall in Chinatown, the new arrival is called Suehiro Mini.
Suehiro Mini was opened by two sisters, Junko and Yuriko, back in 1972, and the restaurant is now owned and managed by Junko's son, Kenji, according to the business' website. Suehiro Mini prides itself on welcoming new generations of patrons to its restaurant and serves up authentic Japanese comfort food, with menu items ranging from tonkotsu ramen to chicken udon to yaki soba.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Suehiro Mini is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Z Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 22, wrote, "Great food! I was impressed with the nabeyaki udon. Tasty noodles and a generous portion of veggies. Shrimp tempura was okay. Also ordered gyoza, and it was excellent. Perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside."
Yelper Khanh N. added, “Suehiro Mini is pretty amazing for a Japanese restaurant in Chinatown. I ordered the shoyu ramen, and the whole dish was absolutely delicious. My only flaw was that the chashu was slightly dry.”
Head on over to check it out: Suehiro Mini is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
