Looking to chow down on some traditional American fare? A new spot has you covered. The new arrival to Echo Park, called Adamae, is located at 1538 Sunset Blvd.
The new addition comes courtesy of Paul Pruitt, Duncan Smith and Jeff Manno of New School, Eater LA reports, an LA-based boutique agency that "specializes in the creation, development and management of progressive hospitality concepts."
On the menu, look for a casual California menu helmed by chef Matt Cheek. Specialties include manchego popcorn; char-grilled octopus with chorizo; and pastor mushroom kebabs with achiote-sumac glaze, grilled cabbage and pineapple relish. (You can view the full menu here.)
Adamae has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp.
Lady M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 13, wrote, "Been looking forward to this restaurant since I heard it would be opening. Got to try it on it's opening last night and was blown away. ... We tried the cod fritters (so good!), market salad (simple, yet unique and perfectly done) and the branzino (melt in your mouth delicious)."
And Yelper Jennifer S. added, "I'm a vegan and they had no trouble accommodating my needs with a flavorful array of culinary options that blew my mind! Don't miss the olives, the carrots and the mushroom kebab!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Adamae is open from 5–10 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 5–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
