A new cafe has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to El Presidio, called Ceres, is located at 77 W. Washington St.

Ceres serves up espresso, lattes and tea, baked goods, sandwiches and salads, as well as artisan bread, homemade sauces and fresh pasta by the pound until it sells out. The list of pasta options on the menu include tagliolini, tagliatelle, bucatini and an assortment of rotating weekly specials.

Ceres has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Lindsey W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 23, wrote, "The menu is wonderfully simple. I've tried the tagliatelle with pesto, tagliolini with Bolognese, special spinach tagliatelle with cacio e pepe and special ricotta ravioli with Parmesan butter sauce. Each has been absolutely delicious, busting with flavor and cooked perfectly al dente."

Yelper Christina R. added, “Ceres is an adorable little hole-in-the-wall across the street from La Cocina that serves beverages, bread, pastries and fresh pasta. ... All of the pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and were delicious, including the plain bucatini.”

Head on over to check it out: Ceres is open from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
