A new grocery store has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 902 W. Irvington Road in Rose, the new arrival is called Cardenas Markets.

Cardenas Markets offers fresh produce and meats, baked goods and prepared foods.

The new grocery store has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Ulyses O., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 25, wrote, "...It has cheap produce that looks great, fresh bakery, a fresh juice bar, coffee shop, great customer service and even a Mexican deli where [you] can get all your favorite classics that look freshly made like beans, rice, enchiladas, tacos, etc."

And Tatiana S. added, "This is a really nice Latino grocery store. The produce section is outstanding... The food court was big and varied and had a salsa bar. The butcher counter was great, good prices, and a wide variety."
