Tow truck driver struck, killed on area freeway

A tow truck driver was struck and killed on eastbound Interstate 290 in Maywood, west of Chicago, on Wednesday while trying to remove vehicles from a previous crash, according to state police. The motorist who struck the tow driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
