A new cooking school has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1001 N. Second St. in Northern Liberties, the new addition is called Hudson Table - Philadelphia.

Hudson Table offers hands-on classes for adults and children, along with demonstrations and back-of-house experiences with the chef, according to its website. Courses cover kitchen safety, culinary techniques and food tasting.

With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Hudson Table - Philadelphia has already made a good impression.

Eric B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 4, wrote, "We made pasta and ravioli from scratch with multiple sauces. The class was very organized and easy to follow along with the materials for each dish already set aside. The instructors were very helpful and relatable. The venue itself was beautiful, spacious and had cookware."

Yelper Lor W. added, “The menu consisted of chorizo and ham croquettes, fennel and charred orange salad, steak, duck-fat roasted potatoes, and vanilla crème brûlée. We were provided with the recipes and they also turned up the music and turned down the lights. It felt more like a restaurant than a cooking school atmosphere."

Hudson Table - Philadelphia is now open at 1001 N. Second St., so stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood.
