A new bakery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 150 Turtle Creek Blvd., Suite 202, in downtown Dallas' Design District, the fresh arrival is called Brown Bag Provisions.

Brown Bag Provisions offers gourmet coffee beverages, breakfast fare and various grab-and-go food options, as noted on its Facebook page. Menu items range from a brown rice bowl with poached egg, three-egg omelette and yeasted sourdough waffle to a yellow curry chicken sandwich, green chili pork shoulder tacos and a kale salad, complete with avocado, mango, sesame vinaigrette, tomato, cilantro, basil, mint, Thai noodles and a choice of beef, chicken, turkey or falafel.

Considering it's garnered a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp, Brown Bag provisions has gotten quite an enthusiastic response thus far.

Mad H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the newcomer on March 26, wrote, "Y'all, this place was amazing. Great sandwiches. We also got butter, yogurt, pasta sauce, vegan curry sauce and pastries and cookies. ... Lovely place, lovely people."

And Lauren H. added, "They're stocked with some items that are a bit hard to find in stores at the moment. The owners were super sweet and accommodating, and the menu items looked delicious."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Brown Bag Provisions is open from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
