Pepper, miniature pinscher

Pepper is a lovable female miniature pinscher in the care of IMPS - Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc.-Southern CA/NV region.

Pepper gets along well with cats and dogs. She is spayed, vaccinated and house-trained.

Here's what Pepper "tells" friends at IMPS - Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc.-Southern CA/NV region:

I'm 8/9 years old, and weigh 22 pounds. I came from a home where my mommy got sick and my daddy never wanted me. I was so confused because there were caregivers coming and going and I didn't know what was going on. Daddy called the rescuers to come get me and once I got out of  that situation, I was so happy.

As you can see I'm a little fluffy from getting too many scraps and no exercise. All I need is a little bit of food and exercise and I can lose the weight (I should be about 14 pounds). I love to run around the yard and I do like water, too. Maybe I can come home with you; I promise I'll make you very happy. Note from her caretakers: Pepper is in Las Vegas, and we can possibly fly this girl to a new home within the tri-state area.

Rusty, miniature pinscher

Rusty is a male miniature pinscher dog currently housed at IMPS - Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. - Southern CA/NV region.

Rusty is a social butterfly — he'll get along great with your other dogs and cats. Have no fear: He is already house-trained. He has been vaccinated and neutered.

Rusty's current caretakers say:

Rusty is 7 years old and weighs 13 pounds. He was rescued from a shelter. He has a big personality. He's got lot's of energy and will make you laugh. He loves going for walks, and to hang out and sniff everything in the yard. Rusty is used to outdoor cats, which we have two, and he pretty much ignores them. We believe he was never allowed to come into the house in his previous home and we had to work with him to let him know it was OK. He is fine now, and enjoys being inside. Rusty is a loving dog who wants to be close to you and in your lap, especially if you're a woman. (He is a bit skittish around men.) He will be a fun addition to his fur-ever home. Note: Rusty is located in Lancaster, Calif.,  and we will not be able to fly him to his new home.

Pebbles, English bulldog

Pebbles is a female English bulldog dog being kept at Southern California Bulldog Rescue.

Pebbles' ideal forever home would be a dog-free environment. This special-needs gal is already spayed, and has had all her shots.

Pebbles "tells" her current caretakers:

I'm 4 years old. My owner recently passed away and I found myself looking for a new home. My soft palate was so thick and elongated when I came into rescue that I would stop breathing when I laid down. Luckily we got that corrected right away and spayed me (no more puppies for me!) and I'm doing much better now. I was born deaf and have arthritis, hip dysplasia and bad knees, so I can only do short walks and no stairs. I also need a daily joint supplement. My nose rope and tail pocket need cleaned daily to prevent infection. I was very upset and anxious when I came into rescue but my foster home has been working hard at teaching me how to be a calm, obedient dog. I love my crate and need it to help calm me down if I get a little too excited. It must come with me to my new home!

I take a lot of short naps throughout the day but am always up for a play session! I snore extra loudly and will sometimes bark and gargle at you to get my point across or when I'm playing. I need a home with kids 12-plus and would do best as an only dog because I have to be alpha. I know I'm super-cute, but to be successful in my forever home, I need limited affection so I can learn how to be self sufficient and to keep my anxiety under control. Working for my meals makes me feel super-successful and builds my confidence, and should be continued so I can grow and learn every day. Do you think you can meet all my needs? Then apply to adopt me today!

Loretta, English bulldog

Loretta is a female English bulldog dog currently residing at Southern California Bulldog Rescue.

No other pets please: Loretta is looking for forever home without other dogs or cats. Southern California Bulldog Rescue wants to place Loretta in a home without small children. She is already spayed, and has had all her shots.

Loretta "tells" her current caretaker:

I'm 5 years old. I'm a healthy girl with long legs who can easily do stairs and longer walks. I love to explore, so it would be awesome if you had a yard for me. I also love to snuggle! I need to be the only pet in the home and in an area without a lot of other dogs. I can be placed in a home with kids 12-plus. I can't wait to meet you!
