A new bakery, cafe and breakfast and brunch spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. The new arrival to the Heights, called Common Bond On the Go, is located at 601 Heights Blvd.

This is a drive-thru-only outpost of the Common Bond Bistro & Bakery, which has three Houston-area locations. According to the business' website, Common Bond On the Go offers "signature cookies, pastries and croissants, as well as a grab ‘n go style savory menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items."

On the menu, expect to see items like scones, muffins, kugelhopf (bundt cakes) and macrons, along with sandwiches, salads and coffee drinks. (Check out the full menu here.)

The new bakery has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.

Skyler B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 6, wrote, "I'm so glad they put a drive-thru in the neighborhood! I've gone several times since they opened and it's always been great! Expect to wait in line for 20-30 minutes on weekends."

Yelper Marieke L. added, “I went today for the first time and am sad to say it was disappointing. I got a butter croissant that was fine, but not up to the high quality I've come to expect from Common Bond (they've spoiled me!)”

Common Bond On the Go has yet to share its business hours online.
