
The San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) received a sudden call to action as a religious center, believed to be the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment, was engulfed in flames on the 1100 block of University Avenue, according to a recent KRON4 news report. In what can only be described as a miraculous turn of events, no injuries have been reported in connection to the fire.
The SJFD swiftly arrived at the scene, and their rapid response ensured that the fire was upgraded to a second alarm and knocked down by 2:10 p.m., as mentioned in their statement on Twitter. While the ordeal was harrowing, the professionalism and diligence demonstrated by the fire crews undoubtedly prevented further damage and loss.
As emergency responders tackled the blaze, authorities advised the public to avoid the area for their safety and took to social media to share images of the scene. By 2:30 p.m., the fire was declared "under control," and the SJFD announced that firefighters would remain on the scene for an additional hour to ensure the safety of the area.
