
This Morning units from the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) responded to reports of a stabbing in the 200 Block of Bassett St. One adult male victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, as reported via a tweet from SJPD on the same day.
Unfortunately, the male victim later succumbed to his injuries, and the incident has now been updated to a homicide. This tragic event marks the 17th homicide in San Jose in 2023. The alarming trend of increasing crime rates in the city has led to growing concerns among residents and has left authorities grappling with new ways to combat crime.
