On the evening of July 8, 2023, another tragedy struck the streets of San Jose, marking the city's 21st homicide this year, when a juvenile male lost his life, and an adult male was injured due to a shooting incident according to the San Jose Police Department.
The shooting took place around 8:50 PM in the area of E. Williams Street and S. 10th Street, and authorities are currently investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding this event. The unnamed adult male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the juvenile male, whose identity has yet to be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
As the victim's family awaits notification and the community reels from the mounting violence, the San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit is seeking the help of anyone with information related to this case.
