On Sunday, three San Diego police officers sustained minor injuries after their utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) rolled over on La Jolla Shores beach during a patrol, with investigations into the cause of the incident still ongoing, according to various reports.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. just north of the Scripps Pier in the La Jolla area, as per the information provided by Lieutenant Adam Sharki, the Public Information Officer for the San Diego Police Department, to San Diego Union-Tribune.
All three officers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, with no reported injuries to any beachgoers at the time of the incident.
