San Jose authorities are investigate its 20th homicide of the year via a press release from the SJPD. On June 29, 2023, Officers scrambled to Dixie Road and Lanai Avenue as they received a distress call of a person shot. Their efforts couldn't save the victim, who tragically succumbed to his injuries just days later on July 7, 2023.
Santa Clara County Coroner's Office has yet to identify the victim.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide remain a mystery. The police urge anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Van Den Broeck or Detective Estantino of the San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit (SJPD).
