The incident took place on Sanderling Island during the execution of a search warrant for McDonald, who was wanted for reportedly brandishing and possibly shooting a gun. The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office is currently investigating the case.
Following the tragic outcome, a startling discovery was made as authorities uncovered a cache of handguns, rifles, and a grenade at the scene. This revelation raises grave concerns over the potential implications and intentions behind McDonald's possession of such an extensive arsenal.
