
Following a frightening incident on June 11, 2023, involving a home invasion and attempted murder, the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) has successfully apprehended the culprits and seized a large cache of weapons. The suspects, Evan Haley and four unnamed juveniles, were involved in a violent home invasion that took place in the 100 block of Bendorf Drive in San Jose, according to the official SJPD report.
The victim of the crime, whose identity has been withheld for safety reasons, suffered at least one gunshot wound during the incident but has since been stabilized at a local hospital. The San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit swiftly launched an investigation into the matter and soon zeroed in on 20-year-old Evan Haley and the four juveniles as prime suspects.
Armed with arrest and search warrants, the SJPD made their move on July 18, 2023, apprehending Haley in the city of Santa Clara and booking him into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for home invasion and attempted homicide charges. The juveniles were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall, as reported in the SJPD press release.
A search of the suspects' residences turned up a significant collection of weapons, including one PMF/Ghost Gun, four unregistered handguns, extended magazines, drum magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
