San Mateo residents find themselves on alert following a string of home burglaries in the area, with the San Mateo Police Department (SMPD) turning to the public for help identifying the suspects involved, according to a recent SMPD advisory.
On July 14 and 16, 2023, officers responded to reports of three separate home burglaries on Palos Verdes Drive and Ticonderoga Drive, where surveillance footage captured the same suspects at each location, providing a critical clue for the ongoing investigation. Moving forward, the SMPD continues to work to identify the culprits by gathering valuable information from the public, all in a joint effort to protect the San Mateo community from future burglaries.
Described in the advisory by the SMPD are three suspects wanted for questioning: a white or Hispanic male (Suspect #1) around 5'10" tall and 230 pounds, a Hispanic male (Suspect #2) around 5'6" tall and 160 pounds, and a male of unknown race (Suspect #3). These individuals are believed to be connected to the burglaries, although further details remain scarce at the moment.
In response to this distressing situation, local residents have been encouraged by the SMPD to share any information they may have regarding the suspects in question, with anonymity available through the submission of tips to their website or by calling (650) 522-7676.
Should you possess any critical information about the pictured suspects, please do not hesitate to contact Sergeant Phoenix O'Rourke at [email protected], as every piece of information counts in the quest to safeguard this community from further harm.
