Yesterday evening saw yet another instance of escalating park violence in Redwood City, this time involving the brutal robbery of a 15-year-old boy. The incident occurred in Hoover Park, where a gang of four or five suspects clad in dark clothing accosted the juvenile, demanding his personal belongings.
Defying their demands, the encounter soon escalated into a violent physical assault. The young victim was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head until he relinquished his MCM belt and cell phone.
Though he remained conscious, the boy suffered injuries consistent with a broken nose and signs of concussion. He was promptly transported to Stanford ER for treatment, as reported by Redwood City Police Department.
