According to investigators, as the Times of San Diego mentioned, this second encounter took a more violent turn, with the suspect swinging his knife once again, this time succeeding in cutting one of the men in the group before fleeing the scene. The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and his injuries were thankfully deemed non-life-threatening.

The SDPD released a description of the suspect as a black man between the ages of 40 and 50, standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing around 190 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing all-black clothing with a black backpack, according to the Times of San Diego.
