On August 27, 2023, a coordinated theft took place within the confines of a Sephora store, leaving the shelves of 26 bottles of fragrances valued at more than $3,500.
Thanks to Sephora's Loss Prevention officers and the efforts of the San Mateo Police Department, it resulted in the arrest of four suspects, two adults and two minors, involved in this orchestrated shoplifting. The suspects in question were Andre BeckoSteen-Mixon, a 20-year-old Oakland resident, Christopher Range, an 18-year-old Carmichael resident, a 17-year-old female from Yuba City, and a 13-year-old male from San Mateo.
A quick 911 call from Sephora Loss Prevention officers, coupled with a detailed description of the suspects' get-away car, aided the police in their prompt apprehension of the alleged criminals.
These arrested individuals now face serious charges, including second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
