Hayward's "Fast & Foolish": Reckless Mustang Driver Busted by CHP for Dangerous StuntsCHP Hayward

A Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 owner in Hayward who thought it was a good idea to brazenly share videos of his dangerous driving escapades on Instagram. Recorded stunts included going as fast as 180 MPH on I-880, racing against other vehicles at speeds reaching 100 MPH on city streets during broad daylight, and even showcasing a burnout right in front of the CHP Hayward office, much to the indignation of the officers on duty.

These videos soon caught the attention of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Hayward division. They kept a watchful eye on the social media account, biding their time until they had enough evidence to pinpoint the driver's identity via CHP Hayward Instagram. Once a warrant was secured from a judge for the arrest of the blue Mustang's owner on charges of reckless driving, CHP officers quickly swung into action, located the vehicle, and impounded it for 30 days.

The fact that nobody was injured during the Mustang driver's dangerous stunts was a blessing, and it is hoped that this experience has served as a sobering lesson for him to drive more responsibly in the future.
