Reckless Driver Detained After Sideshow Stunt After 49ers Game in Santa Clara

Last night, after the Niners game at Levi's Stadium, a reckless driver caused a stir in the arena's main lot attempting to take the spotlight with a dangerous sideshow. According to a Santa Clara PD Instagram post, the individual driving an unlicensed vehicle drew attention upon himself by revving his engine and spinning donuts in the emptying lot.

Last night's offender attempted to escape the area but was subsequently caught and detained by the officers on location. He was then taken into custody for violating a speed contest and driving without a license. Topping the charges off, his vehicle was seized, and will be impounded for 30 days as a further repercussion.

Instances of sideshows involving reckless driving behavior have been notoriously increasing throughout the Bay Area, drawing public and law enforcement concern. Despite several crackdowns and new laws being introduced to combat this issue, young drivers continue to engage in these irresponsible acts.

Last night's incident at Levi's Stadium fortunately resulted in no injuries.
