In a determined effort to curb organized retail crime, on Thursday, officers and detectives carried out a swift operation at the Great Mall of the Bay Area. As a result of this highly coordinated effort, six suspects were apprehended, according to a post by Milpitas Police Department on their Facebook page.
Five out of the six suspects were cited and released for theft, while the remaining one was booked into jail for theft and various outstanding warrants. It is worth noting that over $1,000 in stolen merchandise was recovered during this operation, and returned to the respective stores.
The successful outcome of this coordinated effort was made possible by the unwavering support from the Great Mall Security team, and the Loss Prevention staff from seven participating stores.
