On Tuesday night, a peaceful street in Mountain View, California, turned into the scene of a terrifying encounter. According to a Facebook post published today, a dispute over an alleged traffic violation escalated when 36-year-old Marc Fradelis pointed a gun at a female rideshare driver.
The Mountain View dispatchers received a report at around 7 p.m. about a man wielding a gun on the 200 block of Shoreline Boulevard. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was driving when the alleged perpetrator, Marc Fradelis, engaged her in a heated argument that quickly spiraled out of control. It is during this altercation that, as the victim claims, Fradelis unveiled a firearm, brandishing it in a menacing manner.
Suspecting the gravity of the situation, local law enforcement officers acted promptly, Detaining Fradelis outside of his relative's home on the same block mere minutes after receiving the call. Upon further investigation, officers discovered a gun in plain sight at the relative's residence. The confrontation culminated in Fradelis' arrest on charges of exhibiting a firearm in a threatening manner, assault with a firearm, and making threatening statements, as stated in the Facebook post.
Subsequently, he was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
