According to Fox 5 San Diego, the motorcyclist unexpectedly crossed over into the opposing lane, an action that would bring about dire consequences.
The reason for the motorcyclist's sudden lane change remains unknown, but the result was an abrupt meeting with the Toyota RAV4, driven by a 46-year-old man traveling southbound on San Pasqual Road. The collision catapulted the rider off his motorcycle, causing severe injuries that included damage to his left leg and internal organs as reported by Times of San Diego.
First responders scrambled to the 13900 block of San Pasqual Road, where they were met with the harrowing scene and a man fighting for his life. The rider was swiftly transported to a local hospital via ambulance, where he now wages a battle as life or death weighs in the balance.
