High-end bikes worth over $50,000 were stolen from the Chain Reaction Bicycle Shop, according to a Redwood City Police Department press release.
It wouldn't be long before the police closed in on two men they believed had orchestrated the heist. On August 5, Jose Guadalupegomez, 32, and Joe Rivera, 27, both of Redwood City, were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail, as per the RC Police Department.
However, the story doesn't end there. With investigators yet to locate most of the prized bicycles, suspicions have arisen that more people may have been involved in the crime. The high stakes of this heist with so much loot still unaccounted for have left authorities eager to enlist the help of the public in recovering the missing bikes and apprehending any additional suspects still at large.
