In an effort to apprehend the individual responsible for a sexual assault incident on the Sonoma State University campus last week, authorities have released a detailed sketch of the suspect, citing their distinctive features and urging the community to help identify the perpetrator. The assault occurred during the early hours of September 3, taking place within the university-run Tuscany Village housing complex located at the southeastern side of the campus, according to KTVU.
Investigators have provided a description of the attacker—believed to be Hispanic or Latino and aged between 19 to 22 years old— sporting a unique array of tattoos and unusual facial characteristics. Authorities believe that these distinctive traits may aid the community in recognizing and subsequently identifying the suspect. The individual is described as having black hair and olive complexion, standing roughly six feet tall, and weighing in at a medium to heavier build with a goatee and stubble.
Moreover, the suspect is said to have a 'reptile-like' tattoo on his right forearm and a tattoo featuring the numeral '198' on his left tricep. The assailant also has an eye-freckle in his left eye, a mole next to his left nostril, and acne situated on the left side of his mouth towards the left cheek. At the time of the assault, the perpetrator was wearing black cargo-style pants and a T-shirt that contained an image of a sunset on both the front and back.
The Sonoma State University Police Department continues to solicit the assistance of the community in identifying the suspect; they have provided an updated sketch of the individual via their official Twitter account, urging anyone with relevant information to reach out and share their knowledge.
