The residents of San Diego County, California found themselves confronted by the actions of a woman who brazenly planned the death of her own husband. As reported by the San Diego County's Sheriff's office, the suspect Tatyana Remley (DOB 12/08/1980) was initially arrested on unrelated charges. On July 2nd, deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station arrived at a house in the 4600 block of Rancho Reposo to investigate a fire. They found Remley in possession of three firearms and ammunition, leading to her arrest on firearms-related offenses. The cause of the fire, however, is still under investigation by the Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit.
Remley's intentions came to light on July 3rd, when detectives received information that she was allegedly attempting to hire someone to kill her estranged husband. Following their discovery, authorities launched a comprehensive investigation to expose her murderous plot.
Remley met with an undercover Sheriff's Detective on August 2nd, expecting a smooth business transaction. However, what followed was anything but smooth for Remley, who allegedly not only provided detailed instructions on how she wanted her husband to be killed, but also attempted to put forth the necessary implements - three additional firearms and a sum of U.S. currency as a down payment for the murder. Her plan unraveled in front of her as she found herself handcuffed and arrested for the second time.
Charges were subsequently brought against Remley for solicitation of murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle that was not registered with the Department of Justice and for carrying a loaded firearm in a public place. A readiness hearing is scheduled for October 16 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 6 of the North County Superior Court in Vista, while a preliminary hearing has been set for November 16 at 8:45 a.m. in Department 5 of the North County Superior Court.
