
San Diego's emergency response personnel were once again thrust into action, called upon to extinguish a 2nd alarm fire in the downtown area. The conflagration erupted on 16th Street, between Market and G streets, consuming a single-story commercial structure and posing a risk to nearby establishments. The firefighters managed to contain the blaze swiftly, ensuring its flames would not spread to adjacent buildings as reported by San Diego Fire Department.

The SDFD crews deployed to the scene worked rapidly to prevent the fire from gaining momentum and engulfing more of the downtown area. While firefighters were able to bring the situation under control, reducing the force needed, they're still working on site doing the overhaul.
