On September 22, the city of El Cajon was shaken by a disturbing incident involving a 62-year-old homeless registered sex offender named Clarence White, who exposed himself to a 66-year-old woman at a bus stop. The harrowing event occurred a mere two days after he had been released from jail for a separate crime. According to the El Cajon Police Department, White confronted the innocent victim and reassured her of his harmless intentions as he indecently exposed himself.

As the victim sought help from nearby passersby, police officers arrived on the scene and arrested White on charges related to indecent exposure. Through their investigations, authorities unveiled that White is a registered sex offender, on probation, and a person with a lengthy history of arrests, including a recent arrest in San Diego on September 15, for felony vandalism. Despite his extensive criminal background, White was released from jail on September 20, allowing him to re-offend in less than 48 hours.
The El Cajon Police Department has urged anyone with additional information about this incident to come forward, while anonymous tips can be submitted through the Crime Stoppers tip line, as per the El Cajon Police Department.
