Cesar Villarreal, a man on the run for over a decade, sought for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting in Los Angeles County back in 2010 has a new bounty on his proverbial head. According to the Los Angeles FBI, the agency is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Villarreal's arrest.

What occured on May 21, 2010, seemingly began as a simple disagreement at an undisclosed store in Los Angeles County. Villarreal, a 50-year-old Fresno native who once lived in Baldwin Park, was with his two daughters when an argument unfolded between him and two other men. What transpired thereafter is the source of the FBI's continued search for Villarreal.

As reported by NBC Los Angeles, Villarreal allegedly brandished a firearm and directed it at the two men. They quickly left the store, but Villarreal's actions did not cease there. After momentarily driving without his daughters, he caught up to both men and allegedly opened fire, killing one and injuring the other.

In the wake of this incident, Villarreal was charged with murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest on June 11, 2010. Later, he faced federal charges for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on August 27, 2010, followed by a federal arrest warrant being issued. As indicated by an FBI Los Angeles tweet this September 14th, the FBI believes that Villarreal is now living in Mexico and may be accompanied by Obdulia Medina, his longtime companion.

The FBI has set up avenues for the public to submit tips, either by calling their Los Angeles field office or submitting them online anonymously.
