According to the San Diego Police Department, the driver, an active parolee, tried to flee when the officer's investigation delved deeper, but was quickly apprehended. An ensuing search revealed a loaded handgun, four pounds of a controlled substance, a substantial amount of cash, and multiple cell phones—all indicative of potential narcotics sales.
The San Diego Police Department reported that the individual is now facing multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance while armed, felony possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and intent to sell narcotics, among others.
