San Jose faced its 21st homicide on July 8, 2023, when two young men, an adult and a juvenile, became victims of a horrific shooting incident at the intersection of E. William Street and S. 10th Street. According to a recent San Jose Police Department (SJPD) report, officers responded to a call of a person shot around 8:50 pm, arriving on the scene to find both victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
While the adult male sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the juvenile victim ended in tragedy at a local hospital. The SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives launched a detailed investigation in pursuit of the perpetrators responsible for this event.
SJPD apprehended two suspects on August 25th, 2023, in Morgan Hill, CA. Identified as Rodolfo Stagi, a 19-year-old San Jose resident, and a juvenile who remains unnamed, they were charged with homicide and attempted homicide.
The SJPD continues to request information and assistance from the public in their ongoing investigation.
